My Story
I have been taking part in jog/walk for June for CDH because, as many of you know, our daughter Laila was born with CDH (Congenital Diaphramatic Hernia). CDH is much more than 3 letters, it is a serious birth anomaly with a current survival rate of around 50%. Thankfully Laila is here to tell her story but sadly that is not the case for everyone. Those that do survive, go on to have lifetime conditions.
CDH can happen to anyone and affects 1 in every 2500 pregnancies.
CDH UK are an amazing charity who support families before the birth and after. They do not receive any funding from the government so fundraising is vital.
I have been walking since the1st of June and hope that by the 30th I would have walked the equivalent of a marathon (and those of you who know me, know that I have been fasting and been suffering from back trouble whilst trying to walk).
Anything you can give will be gratefully received.
